We're recruiting a Agile Business Analyst for a SaaS company operating in the EdTech Sector. Working here, you'll help schools reduce the money and time spent on admin tasks.

A Wakefield based SaaS company that operate in the EdTech sector.
They were set up 7 years ago and they have 40 members of staff which includes 5 devs, 2 QA's and a Product Owner.
They're part of a larger company which was set up over 15 years ago.
Their products
They've developed a range of solutions that schools and teachers can use.
The main solution they've created is a staff absence management tool.
Previously, absences would be recorded by paper or excel. Their software helps school’s analyse absences via a fully customisable tool.
They've also created other tools - they have one which helps manage admin tasks for teachers and another that helps schools manage their recruitment process.
What does a typical day look like
They're full Agile so you'll be working in two-week sprints.
You'll be involved with different projects across the business as they don't work in silo's.
There's loads of pipeline (about 3 or 4 years worth) and there's many new features that need to be added so plenty of Greenfield projects.
Also, during any downtime, you're able to work on self-development.
Tasks/Responsibilties
- Work closely with product and business stakeholders to understand the business strategy, roadmap and priorities
- Gather business requirements from various stakeholder groups through interviews and workshops to understand as-is business processes and then develop customer-driven to-be processes
- Write and develop clear, non-implementation specific epics, user stories and acceptance criteria which represent the overall scope of the requirement
- Maintain the product backlog and work with the Product Owner to refine and prioritise the backlog stories ensuring there is sufficient detail
- Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies such as Product Backlog refinement, Sprint Planning and Sprint Review
- Interact with the Development team to provide clarification of queries and acting as the analysis expert on the team
- Participate in Iteration review to provide feedback to the development team for the completed stories
- Facilitate sessions with the development team to review upcoming work for the next sprint
- Provide support to the Test and Support team, offering product knowledge and expertise to support customer queries

Working hours / remote option
During term time it's 37.5 hours a week - 8:30 - 4:30
During school holidays it's 35 hours a week - 8:30 - 4:00

Required experience
- 2 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Proven experience of agile working practices in a software environment
Desirable experience
- You’ll have worked for or with a SaaS company and/or have client facing experience
- You'll have BA experience of software delivery in an agile environment working with a PO or business/customer stakeholder to develop product vision into delivery user stories
