The software you create will help school's reduce money and time spent on admin tasks.

The company

A Wakefield based SaaS company that operate in the EdTech sector.

They were set up 7 years ago and they have 40 members of staff which includes 5 devs, 2 QA's and a Product Owner.

They're part of a larger company which was set up over 15 years ago.

Their products

They've developed a range of solutions that schools and teachers can use.

The main solution they've created is a staff absence management tool.

Previously, absences would be recorded by paper or excel. Their software helps school’s analyse absences via a fully customisable tool.

They've also created other tools - they have one which helps manage admin tasks for teachers and another that helps schools manage their recruitment process.

What does a typical day look like

They're full Agile so you'll be working in sprints.

On a daily basis you'll be picking up tasks and working together with their PO, other devs and architects to work out what the best technical solution is.

You'll also get to work with rest of the business to demonstrate how the solutions you've created work.

You'll be involved with different projects across the business as they don't silo their devs.

There's loads of pipeline (about 3 or 4 years worth) and there's many new features that need to be added so plenty of brand new development.

Also, during any downtime, you're able to work on self-development.

The culture

They’re very open and transparent.

There's a real family-feel to this company.

Autonomy is offered to everyone and you're welcome to bring your own ideas to the table.

Self-development is encouraged here.
