They’re looking for a QA Engineer to join their Newcastle based team.

This position is a hybrid role where you can be in the office as little as twice per month.

The company

A rapidly growing tech company based in the centre of Newcastle.

They’ve been established for over 21 years and have grown from a team of 40 to 90 in the past year.

You will be joining an established team of QA Engineers, reporting into the creative director.

They have offices in London and the Northeast.

Hours are 9-5.30pm, however when life gets in the way, they're flexible.


What you’ll need to have

  • Hands on testing with Web and Mobile Apps
  • Familiar with test managements tools such as Redmine and Jira
  • Familiar with tools such as Cucumber, Specflow and Postman for automation
  • Understanding of Jmeter or similar for performance & Load Testing
  • Proficient in BDD and an understanding of TDD
  • Be able to coach colleagues in QA best practice
  • Methodological thinking – to formulate sensible testing plans and execute them
  • Very clear written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organisational skills with a ‘can do’ attitude and the desire to learn

Nice to have:

  • Experience in agile methodology, ideally SCRUM
  • Knowledge of mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of the betting and gaming industry
