They're a software development company based in Leeds City Centre.

They have 75 employees, 35 of which are Software Developers and 15 of which are Software Testers.

They're hiring a tester to grow this team and you'd be responsible for workign with their clients and their developers to ensure quality across new and existing products.


Their clients include O2, NHS and Bellway Homes.

They're based in Leeds City Centre but will allow you to work from home 4 days a week if you want.

Your working hours / remote working option

Monday - Thursday you can start work anytime between 8:30 - 9:30.

On Fridays you can start work anytime between 8:00 - 10:00.

You can also take up to two hours for your lunch.

You can work up to 4 days a week from home.

Technologies & tools

We use the following technologies and tools but training will be provided where necessary

  • C# .NET and RestSharp (API automation)
  • Cypress.js (UI automation)
  • JMeter
  • OWASP ZAP


Your main responsibilities

  • Gain a full working understanding of a broad range of bespoke software products which meet the challenging needs of our customers

  • Work closely with clients and the development team to define appropriate acceptance criteria for each feature

  • Design and script an appropriate set of tests for each feature being developed

  • Plan, create and update automated test scripts

  • Execute manual and automated tests

  • Design and script tests to test non-functional aspects of the development

  • Provide support for clients working through User Acceptance Testing

  • Triage feedback from clients and report to the development team
     

Key competencies & requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight and to work as part of a team

  • Willingness to self-learn and quickly adapt to new technologies, tools and working practises


Required experience

  • Manual testing: 1+ years
  • Defect tracking software tools: 1+ years
     

Desired experience

  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience of working in a consultancy environment
  • Some knowledge/awareness of automated testing and tools
